Caramel Sauce

Oohhhh! The smooth, rich, creamy, sweet and salty texture of a caramel toffee or caramel sauce! I am pretty sure each one of you out there has had this feeling at least once in your life. Correct me if I am wrong!

I was so happy when I learnt that it is damn easy to make caramel sauce with very simple ingredients at your own home – and that too within minutes. I mean it is such a useful recipe – you can use caramel sauce in cakes, desserts, tarts and what not! The sweet and salty taste of the sauce goes well with desserts – for that matter, try having it with a slice of nicely toasted bread and you are good to go -yep! Cool it is, right!?

So, below is my recipe for a really simple and easy to make caramel sauce. Prepare it and keep it stored for different desserts. Or just lick it when you like ! ๐Ÿ˜€

Prep Time: 20 mins


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tspn butter
  • ยฝ cup cream
  • Water for immersing


  • Add sugar and water in a pan and start heating it. (Note: Water has to be minimum. Also, water is necessary so that you donโ€™t burn the sugar)
  • Let the sugar melt or caramelize thoroughly until it starts changing colour to a dark brown. Add the butter, stir it will and bring the pan down from gas.
  • Stir in the cream slowly and mix well until a nice semi liquid consistency is obtained!

And lo! Your easy to make gooey caramel sauce is ready in those 3 lines – IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE! And something that makes you really happy when you have it. So, what are you having it with!??
